Programme

  1. What can I do at camp 100?
There will be lots to do at Camp 100! Into arts and crafts, science, or film? We’ll have centres for those. Want to learn some new bushcraft skills? We’ve got you covered. Fancy singing songs round the camp fire? Plenty of opportunities for that. It’d take up too much room to list everything we’ve got planned for Camp 100 but read through this info pack to learn more and if you still have questions please contact the programme team at:
    programme@camp100.org.uk
  1. Will there be opening and closing ceremonies?
Yes! Plans are being made for opening and closing ceremonies. We’re excited for what they’re looking like and we hope they’ll provide fun opportunities to celebrate Camp 100 in creative ways with all attendees.
  1. Will there be cafes?
For sure! We’ll have cafes at Camp 100 but they will look a bit different from previous camps. There will be two cafes at the camp. One cafe in the central area which will have slightly later opening times than cafes usually do. The second cafe will be placed between towns and may operate in a slightly new way for Woodcraft (that’s all we’ll say for now). Both cafes will offer tasty snacks to compliment the delicious food that’ll be served in villages.
  1. What are centers and what are their themes?
We’ll have a whole host of centres at Camp 100. Each will have a unique theme which they’ll explore through the workshops they run as well as through the physical space. The centres at Camp 100 are:
    – Solidarity
    – MEST-UP
    – Trade Union
    – STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths) Cell
    – Underground Printing Press
    – Under 12s
    – Arts and crafts
    – Media
    – Radio
    – Film
    – Bushcraft
    – More TBC
  1. What are “village days” and “central days” and how will this work?
Camp will alternate between village days and central days. On central days programme will take place in the central area. This will include activities run by centres like the trade union centre, arts and crafts tent, and bushcraft. It will also include activities at the main stage such as live music, storytelling, and even a 100th birthday party for Woodcraft.

On village days programme will take place within the villages/towns you’re camping with. This will in part be run by districts and could include things such as pea fayres, archway building, campfire songs, etc.  Each town will also have sports equipment, books and arts supplies available to use. The wide game will also take place on a village day.
  1. I’ve heard there will be a library, can you tell us about this?
There won’t just be one library on camp, there will be one library per town! Each library will have a friendly neighbourhood librarian whose primary purpose of the libraries is to coordinate and communicate (not run) the programme across the town. Each library will offer a space to come relax and will have sports equipment, books and art supplies available to use.
